Discover Georgia as Few Know It: Through Women’s Lives, Local Communities, UNESCO Treasures, and Natural Wonders! On this conscious, 9-day journey, you’ll explore not only the famous cities of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Sighnaghi, but also venture into the Pankisi Valley, where Muslim women share their unique traditions and offer a glimpse into the world of Tushetian craftsmanship. Along the way, you’ll meet Georgian women entrepreneurs, discover social initiatives, visit artisan workshops, and get a taste of local cuisine — from shaping khinkali to baking khachapuri. Accommodations are carefully chosen, locally run guesthouses and sustainable boutique hotels led by women, ensuring authentic experiences and genuine connections. Expect walking tours, creative workshops, culinary adventures, and engaging geopolitical and cultural stories — all while connecting with the soul of Georgia through the inspiring stories of its women.

Travel to the destination is self-arranged and not included in the price, but from the moment you decide to join, we walk beside you, helping you choose the gentlest way to reach your destination. Deposit: 40% = 572 EUR, due by September 15

Second installment: 60% = 858 EUR, due by October 1

The participation fee also includes a 30 EUR donation, half of which goes to a local Georgian women’s organization, and the other half to a women’s advocacy organization in Hungary.

PLAN B. B for Benevolence

Day 1 – Arrival at Kutaisi Airport – Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – Tbilisi

  • Early morning arrival at Kutaisi Airport
  • Meeting with the tour guide and transfer to Tbilisi
  • Short stop along the way for breakfast and coffee (not included in the price)
  • Brief visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral
  • Arrival in Tbilisi and check-in at the city’s first sustainable hotel, fully powered by solar energy
  • Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2 – Tbilisi City Tour – Accommodation: Tbilisi

(No vehicles will be used during the day.)

  • In the afternoon, we’ll visit Georgia’s first conscious eco-store, where we’ll meet the founders, hear their story, and take part in a beeswax candle-making workshop.
  • Evening at leisure. Overnight in Tbilisi.
  • Today we discover Georgia’s beautiful and vibrant capital, Tbilisi. Our walking tour begins at the Metekhi Church, offering a stunning panorama of the Old Town. The colorful wooden balconies, unique architecture, and blend of modern culture leave an unforgettable impression.
  • On foot, we will explore the city’s highlights, including the Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, the old caravanserai, the synagogue, the Bridge of Peace, the Puppet Theater, and many more sights.
  • A special experience awaits as we take the cable car from Rike Park up to the Narikala Fortress, followed by a visit to the famous sulfur bath district, with its colorful mosaics and brick domes.
  • In the afternoon, we’ll visit Georgia’s first conscious eco-store, meet the founders, hear their story, and take part in a beeswax candle-making workshop.
  • Evening at leisure. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3 – Free Day in Tbilisi

After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Tbilisi. A wide range of options await:
Explore the Dry Bridge flea market, Mtatsminda Park, and the Open-Air Museum of Ethnography, or discover the city’s alternative subcultures at one of the bars in Fabrika.

Day 4 – Tbilisi – Pankisi Winery – Sighnaghi – Akhmeta – Jokolo Village (Pankisi Valley)

  • In the morning, we depart for Georgia’s famous wine region, Kakheti.
  • Our first stop is a unique winery, where we’ll meet one of Georgia’s pioneering female winemakers. She will welcome us, give us a tour of the estate, and share her inspiring journey of becoming a successful entrepreneur in a patriarchal society. The visit concludes with a wine tasting.
  • Next, we’ll make a short stop in Sighnaghi, the “City of Love,” where we can enjoy a stroll, take in the scenic views, and have some free time for lunch or coffee.
  • We continue our journey to the village of Akhmeta, where we’ll meet Grandma Lili, the last in her family to create traditional Tushetian wool rugs. We’ll visit her workshop and also have the chance to taste her homemade liqueurs.
  • In the evening, we arrive in Jokolo village, settled by Chechen refugees in the 19th–20th centuries. The locals are Muslim, and their way of life differs from that of most Georgians – offering a unique opportunity to experience the country’s rich ethnic diversity.
    Accommodation is in a unique guesthouse owned by the region’s first female entrepreneur – and the first woman in the village ever to drive a car.
  • Dinner: authentic Chechen dish and non-alcoholic homemade beer
  • Overnight: Jokolo village

Day 5 - Jokolo Village - Cultural Day

(No vehicle use.)
  • We start the day with a homemade breakfast at the guesthouse, followed by a short walk through the village.
  • We’ll visit the local mosque, where local women will present the Nazmi singing ritual.
  • Next, we’ll visit another local woman who specializes in felt-making. We’ll learn about the process, natural dyeing techniques, and the variety of products created.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy free time in the village: options include a short hike, horseback riding, or simply relaxing in the garden.
  • In the evening, we’ll prepare dinner together: khinkali, a traditional Georgian dumpling dish. We’ll also learn the special technique for eating it properly.
  • Overnight in Jokolo village. Guesthouse – dormitory-style room with shared bathroom facilities.

Day 6 – Jokolo – Ikorta – Prometheus Cave – Kutaisi

Today we travel to western Georgia.

  • Our first stop is the Tsitsamuri refugee village, where courageous women have founded a social enterprise.
    We’ll learn about the story of Georgians who fled the 2008 South Ossetian conflict and the region’s geopolitical context.
    Participants will take part in enamel jewelry-making and learn the art of enameling.
  • We’ll enjoy a light lunch here before continuing to Kutaisi.
  • Upon arrival, we’ll visit Prometheus Cave – one of Georgia’s natural wonders.
  • Evening at leisure.
  • Accommodation: Angela’s Guesthouse (each room has a private bathroom). The guesthouse was founded by a young woman named Angela, with support from her mother, who worked abroad during the economic crisis of the 1990s and sent money home to support the family. We’ll have a conversation with Angela about her and her mother’s life experiences.
  • Overnight: Kutaisi

Day 7 – Kutaisi City Tour

(No vehicle use.)

  • After breakfast, we explore Kutaisi: the city center and Bagrati Cathedral, built in the 11th century and a symbol of Georgia’s unity.
  • We’ll learn about the legend of the Kingdom of Colchis, the story of the Golden Fleece, and the figure of Medea, who was locally born and helped Jason and the Argonauts. Medea is considered the first witch and healer – the word “medicine” is said to originate from her name.
  • Next, we’ll visit the local market to buy vegetables and cheese, then cook lunch together at Angela’s house: khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) and eggplant-and-walnut dishes.
  • Evening at leisure.
  • Accommodation: Angela’s Guesthouse (each room has a private bathroom)

Day 8 – Departure

Cancellation Policy

  • 90 days: before the start of the trip: 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
  • 60 days: before: 30% of the paid amount will be refunded.
  • 30 days: the paid amount is non-refundable, but the trip can be transferred to another person.
