THE SOUL OF VOJVODINA

WOMEN, TRADITION, AND THE EMBRACE OF NATURE

May 22-25, 2026 | October 22-25, 2026

Take a deep breath, slow down, and let Vojvodina reveal itself – through women’s stories, nature-based experiences, and creative moments. Our journey leads from the Art Nouveau streets of Subotica to the fragrant forests of Fruška Gora, from artisan workshops in Kishegyes to an alpine-style goat farm. Along the way, we’ll meet local female makers and farmers, meditate under the stars, paint with wine, gather herbs, and taste the true flavors of the land. These four days are more than just a trip – they are a reconnection: to each other, to ourselves, and to the earth beneath our feet.

Day 1 –Discover Subotica

  • The first day is infused with calm, culture, and the harmony of nature – offering the perfect start to a journey that centers around sustainability and the experience of female community.
  • The program begins (or continues) with a walking tour of downtown Subotica, renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture. During the stroll, we’ll visit highlights such as the stunning City Hall, the Synagogue, and the Raichle Palace. Our guide will share insights into the city’s rich cultural diversity and the role of female creators in its artistic heritage.
  • Departure by minibus to our accommodation in Kishegyes, where we will also enjoy our dinner.

Day 2 – Kishegyes

  • The second day focuses on sustainability, traditional farming, and the joy of creativity. The farm not only offers a glimpse into everyday rural life but also invites participants to engage more deeply with a nature-based lifestyle and connect with the animals living there.
  • Visit to the Kishegyes Creative Craft Circle – Thanks to prior arrangements with the Kishegyes Women’s Forum, we’ll have the opportunity to meet members of the Creative Craft Circle, who will warmly welcome our women’s group. During the visit, participants can try out two types of craft activities – each person can choose the one that appeals most to their interests and mood. We’ll also explore the group’s nature garden and greenhouse, offering an inspiring glimpse into sustainable living and local community initiatives. The program takes place not at Kátai Tanya but in the center of Kishegyes (approx. 2 km from the farm), where the group’s headquarters is located.
  • After the workshops, we’ll return to the farm for lunch. There will also be an opportunity to take part in a traditional chimney cake (kürtöskalács) baking session. Yoga for body and soul – time to unwind and reconnect In the afternoon, participants can join a guided yoga session designed to relax the body, release tension, and cultivate mindful presence.
  • The day concludes with a shared dinner.

Day 3 – Kishegyes – Novi Sad – Fruška Gora Mountains – Kishegyes

  • The third day is all about the meeting of urban culture and nature. After breakfast, the group heads toward Novi Sad. Located on the banks of the Danube, the city offers a unique experience with its vibrant atmosphere, multicultural heritage, and welcoming spirit. The exploration takes place on foot – a sustainable way to let participants experience the charm of the streets, squares, and architecture up close.
  • After the city tour, the group visits Petrovaradin (optionally on foot) for an art-themed experience. During this special two-hour program, participants are introduced to the world of *vinorel* – a wine-painting technique. In this unique workshop, wine is not only tasted but also used creatively to produce watercolor-like artworks. The inspiring setting of the winery and the communal power of art come together in a memorable experience. During the visit, we also gain insight into the winemaking process, with a focus on local grape varieties and natural fermentation methods. A wine tasting will introduce participants to the region’s distinctive wine selection. Lunch will be enjoyed at a cozy riverside restaurant along the Danube.
  •  In the second half of the day, nature takes center stage with an excursion to Fruška Gora National Park (Tarcal Mountains), one of Serbia’s most treasured natural areas. The program includes a short hike and the opportunity to forage for medicinal herbs and edible wild plants, guided by a local botanical expert. During the walk, participants will gain insight into the rich diversity of the local flora and the ancient knowledge rooted in respect for nature.
  • In the evening, we return to Kátai Tanya, where the day ends with shared relaxation, meaningful conversation, and a light dinner.

Day 4 – Kispiac Goat Farm & Bakery – Palić

  • After breakfast, we check out and depart for the **Kenyeres Goat Farm** in Kispiac. This unique farm is home to rare Alpine goats, a true curiosity in Vojvodina. Guests will have the chance to see, feed, and pet the animals while touring the farm. During the visit, the owner will share fascinating insights about this special goat breed and introduce the basics of organic farming in a practical, hands-on way. The experience concludes with a generous tasting of goat milk products and other delicacies grown on-site. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase local goods to take home.
